pet portraitsOur pets are more than just animals, they're members of our family. Some are loyal companions and others are simply our fur babies. Whatever they are to you, I'm ready to paint them in a way that will keep them with you forever. Q: How does it work? A: The process is simple. Send me a specific photo or several photos of your pet and choose what colour or type of background you would like. I put together a mock up of how your painting will look and you approve it once it's to your liking. From there I start to paint it, sending you progress photos as I go. Q: How long does it take once the painting has begun? A: The painting normally takes about 2 weeks to complete. Q: How much does a pet portrait cost? A: A portrait starts at a 12"x12" canvas which costs $250. If you would like a non square canvas, they start at a 12"x16" canvas and cost $300. Larger canvases are available and normally go from $350 to $600 on average depending on size. Q: Can I have more than one pet on a canvas? A: Yes you can! When you send your pet's picture to me, they don't even need to be in the same photo. I can put them together during the mock up process to make one cohesive painting. The size of canvas you request may need to be larger to accommodate for the extra pet(s). There is also an extra cost per pet added. All costs will be discussed with you before proceeding. Q: Can you ship the painting to me? A: I can ship the painting anywhere you need it to go. I have even shipped to Australia! Any shipping costs are extra. Q: Does my painting need to be framed? A: Framing is optional and up to the owner. All paintings are made on 1 1/2" thick gallery style stretched canvas. The sides are painted to match the background and are strung at the back so it is ready to hang. If you still prefer a frame, I recommend taking it to a framer of your choice once the painting is in your possession. |
